Six additional portrait iterations, giving you more creative control over the final result.

How refinement works

Select a portrait from your existing variations and describe the adjustment you’d like: a different hairstyle, a new item of clothing, a change in light, a shift in expression, a slightly different angle. Each credit generates one new portrait interpretation based on your selected portrait and your brief. You may also add up to 3 supporting photos (eg a photo of a dress or a shirt).

Refinement is an artistic process, not a precise edit. Results will vary and may surprise you. Additional packs may be purchased to explore further.

What you receive

Each of the 6 credits generates one new portrait variation, delivered as a high-resolution digital master file suitable for fine art printing.

Any portrait generated through refinement can also be printed at ultra-high resolution as a Museum quality 16-bit 16K TIFF + JPEG for an additional cost.

Important

Refinement credits are applied to existing portraits. You must first purchase a Custom Portrait.

Credits are valid for 365 days and can be applied on any Custom Portrait still available for download in Black Flag Art.

Be specific in your brief. The more clearly you describe what you wish to adjust, the closer the result will be to your intention.

Usage licence

All portraits generated through refinement are covered by the same personal use licence as your Custom Portraits. They may not be resold, redistributed, or used commercially.
